Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournaments 2010

By the Grace of Allah, Majlis Atfālul Ahmadiyya Canada was able to hold various Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournaments on Izl`a level in the last couple of weeks. Various interesting sports such as basketball, soccer, badminton, volleyball etc. decorated these tournaments and provided an enjoyable atmosphere for the participating Atfāl. Aside from the sports aspect, these tournaments gave a great opportunity for Atfāl to learn the organizational structure of the Jamā’at and uplift their morality for a Tarbiyati perspective

Islam extensively emphasizes the importance of living a life where the spiritual, moral, and physical elements of one’s personality are developed according to purpose of creation. Having a clean, active, and strong physical body has a great impact on our souls as well. Keeping this aspect in mind, the department of Sehat-e-Jismani in Majlis Khuddāmul Ahmadiyya and Majlis Atfālul Ahmadiyya organizes various healthy activities throughout the year. One of the prime events in this regard are the Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournaments held every year at various locations across Canada where Khuddām and Atfāl meet and vie with each other in many healthy directions.

By the Grace of Allah, Majlis Atfālul Ahmadiyya Canada was able to hold various Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournaments on Izl`a level in the last couple of weeks. Various interesting sports such as basketball, soccer, badminton, volleyball etc. decorated these tournaments and provided an enjoyable atmosphere for the participating Atfāl. Aside from the sports aspect, these tournaments gave a great opportunity for Atfāl to learn the organizational structure of the Jamā’at and uplift their morality for a Tarbiyati perspective.

Various dignitaries of the Jamā’at and members of the National Majlis `Āmila of MKAC and MAAC attended especially the opening and closing sessions of these tournaments, delivered insightful speeches, and provided valuable advises to the organizers and volunteers. The Izl`a breakdown of these events is summarized on the following pages with some mentionable highlights.

May Allah Ta’lā accept the humble efforts of all volunteers who worked a tremendous amount to makes these events successful and enable all of us to benefit from such events in all aspects of our lives. Amin!

Zil'a Based Report

Zil`a Central North:

By the Grace of Allah Ta’lā, Majlis Atfālul Ahmadiyya Zil`a Central North held its Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournament on February 27th, 2010 at Woodbridge College. A special exhibition was arranged on the topic of Khilāfat and the biography of Hadrat Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra.

Zil`a Central East:

By the Grace of Allah Tale, Majlis Atfālul Ahmadiyya Zil`a Central East held its Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournament on February 28th, 2010 at Pine Ridge Secondary School in Pickering. The tournament was combined with the Khuddām. Missionary of Scarborough Jamā’at presided the opening session and explained about the importance of Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Day.

By the Grace of Allah Ta’lā, Majlis Atfālul Ahmadiyya Zil`a Peel South held its Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournament on February 21st, 2010 at John Fraser Secondary School. The tournament was combined with the Khuddām.

Zil`a Central South

By the Grace of Allah Ta’lā, Majlis Atfālul Ahmadiyya Zil`a Central South held its Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournament on February 28th, 2010 along with the Khuddām Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournament. Basketball, soccer, and volleyball were the prime sports at the event. A special inter-Majālis exhibition was also organized. After lunch and Zohar & Asr prayers, a presentation was shown followed by an interesting Q/A session which was held with the Atfāl about the life-history of Hadrat Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra.

Zil`a Central West

By the Grace of Allah Ta’lā, Majlis Atfālul Ahmadiyya Zil`a Central West held its Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournament on February 21st, 2010 at Brampton Centennial Secondary School. Atfāl even from the far off Majālis such as Hamilton and Windsor participated in this event. Basketball, ball hockey, and indoor soccer where the team sports and table tennis and arm wrestling played by the Atfāl in this tournament. 10 teams of MS and MK Atfal competed with each other. Special team and individual prizes concerning the participation and overall performance of the Majālis were awarded at the closing session.

Zil`a Eastern Canada

By the Grace of Allah Ta’lā, Majlis Atfālul Ahmadiyya Zil`a Eastern Canada held its Musleh Mau’ūd ^ra Tournament on February 28th, 2010 at Fallingbrook Elementary School in Ottawa. Along with the various sports competitions, Missionary Montreal Jamā’at had a Tarbiyati Session with the Atfāl before the closing session. Many dignitaries and office bearers of the Jamā’at graced the tournament with their presence.
